We're all in this together in Disney Channel's smash hit musical phenomenon featuring the students of East High!
It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

THis year, we're excited to add an official crew of students to our production of high school musical who are interested in building sets, designing costumes, working backstage during the show and more! students have the option of joining the cast, the crew, or both!!!

our high school musical crew will meet during the month of june on saturdays from 12:00pm-3:00pm, and select Tuesdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm (unless they are in the cast and are called to rehearsal on that tuesday).

if your child is interested in working crew only, you can register them using the link below!

If your child is interested in a combo of cast and crew, please register them for the crew using the link below, and then for the cast separately using the link at the bottom of the page. (*a note about tuition: Your crew payments will be deducted from your total for the cast!)

if your child is only interested in auditioning for the cast, you only need to register for an audition spot using the link at the bottom of the page.

in-person auditions are full at this time! Please register to submit a video audition at the bottom of the page.

auditions will take place on Saturday, April 19th at Miss Gabi's concord Road studio from 9:00am-6:30pm in 10-minute intervals.

students auditioning only need to sign up for one audition time slot. Your performer's audition should last no longer than 10 minutes.

This year, instead of singing a song that your performer chooses, they will choose a character to audition for (or ensemble) and perform the song that is listed with that character below. Please encourage your performer to have this portion of the song memorized at their audition.

after they sing, students may be asked to read sides from a script (they will not need to prepare for this ahead of time) or show off any special skills that they listed on their audition form.

students are not required to dress up for their audition but should be dressed intentionally and comfortably.

parents are encouraged to wait in the lobby or in their car during their child's audition... the studio can get pretty crowded!

*Please be aware that this performance schedule is slightly different than in years past and may require flexibility and planning ahead of time around camps and other activities.... see below for performance days and times for each cast:
Thursday, June 26th
4:00pm - junior cast performance (3:00pm call time)
7:00pm - senior cast performance (6:00pm call time)
Friday, June 27th
4:00pm - Senior cast performance (3:00pm call time)

our production of high school musical will be split up into two casts: junior cast (ages 6-10) and senior cast (ages 11-15).

most rehearsals will take place at st. benedict's episcopal school south campus: 4925 weaver st. SE, Smyrna, GA

a few vocal and optional rehearsals will take place at Miss Gabi's Music & Art: 1115 Concord Rd. se, sMYRNA, Ga

students may not miss more than three rehearsals throughout the production process. before registering, please double check that your conflicts do not outnumber three.

While rehearsal is still happening on juneteenth, this is an excused absence for all those who celebrate and will not count as a missed rehearsal.

All rehearsals and performances that your performer is called to during tech week (June 23rd-27th) are mandatory and no absences will be approved.

please be mindful when scheduling camps and other activities for tech week - this is a big commitment that will require lots of energy and focus from everyone involved!

Gabriella Montez is the new student who’s struggling to find her place at East High. She’s a Renaissance woman who doesn’t fully identify with any of the cliques, and so she’s taking her time – and realizing her confidence – along the way. Smart and independent, Gabriella can be shy and vulnerable at times. She comes into her own when she discovers her talent and love for singing with Troy.
Troy Bolton, the most popular student at East High, is the star of the basketball team who yearns to be more than what others – especially his dad, Coach Bolton – want him to be. A natural athlete and leader with charm to spare, Troy discovers he loves to sing, but is afraid to admit it to his basketball buddies. Look for a solid actor who can convey the full range of Troy’s emotions from sensitive to self-assured, and who can dance and sing very well.
